Information Technology

Argyle Magnet Middle School for Information Technology offers students in Grades 6, 7, and 8 a rigorous academic program focused on the development and application of information technology.

All Grade 6 and 7 students take a year-long comprehensive technology course and earn national technology certifications.

All Grade 8 students will enroll in a minimum of one technology elective. In addition, students may opt to take an additional elective courses specializing in hardware, Web development, programming, or digital media. Grade 8 technology electives will include opportunities for high-school-level coursework.

Admission to the Argyle Magnet School for Information Technology is based on a lottery process.

Students who live within the Argyle, Loiederman, and Parkland Consortium area participate in the Choice process through information shared at their local elementary school in Grade 5.

Limited seats are available to those who live outside of the MSMC consortium. For students outside of the consortium area, Choice forms are available at the elementary schools, on the Middle School Magnet Consortium website or from the Division of Consortia Choice and Application Program Services, 240-740-7800.
