What types of programs does HACC offer?
HACC offers academic degree programs that have either a career or transfer focus. Students can earn degrees in any of the following designations:
Career-focused degrees are ones that are structured to prepare you for entry in the workforce within a particular area or industry. HACC also offers workforce training programs through our Workforce Development area that provide you with knowledge and skills for the workforce. Transfer-focused programs are those that are structured to prepare you to transfer to a four-year institution.
Why do students come to HACC?
Many students attend HACC for affordable career training. More than one quarter (26.6 percent) come to HACC for transfer credits. Students can apply these credits toward a bachelor's program at a four-year college or university.
HACC has articulation agreements with many four-year institutions. These agreements allow students to transfer seamlessly from HACC to another institution.
What accreditation does HACC have?
The Middle States Commission on Higher Education has accredited HACC. The Middle States Commission on Higher Education is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
Middle States Commission on Higher Education granted HACC's initial accreditation in April of 1967. They reaffirmed it most recently in June 2018. Learn more about the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.

The Pennsylvania Department of Education has authorized the College to award the Associate's degree. Specific programs receive national accreditation.
